It has been 180 days since we moved here celebrate with us in how far we have come!

Good Evening!

Well it is our 180th day! Hard to believe I arrived late at night 6 months ago with the kids to meet Durbs at our new home. We went from living in Hampton Roads VA to living in Verbena, Al.

Here are some highlights of our first six months!

We saw our first baby chicken still in its egg!

We made our first bread and started saving money $12 a month.

We started our crops. And realized how hard it is without a greenhouse We reused our old soda bottles as planters saving $25.

We built our own trash can holder from free pallets. Saving around $300. We only spent $30 on the trashcans, everything else was free.

We had our first hot dogs over a fire!

We hatched our first chicken. We now have 27.

We learned to work together!

We had our first wagon ride!

We made our first crackers. Saltine recipe, saving $7 a month.

We started to believe in ourselves.

We learned to use the breaking plow and to have fun while doing it!

Our coop now!

We built our first coop saving us over $2,000.

And this is our harvest from our land! Peaches, Black berries, Yellow Squash, cucumbers,lettuce and zucchini. This was all processed by Anny.

We can not thank everyone enough for their support! We could not have done this without all of you. We have grown so much as a family and as individuals in the last 180 days. With our harvest being so abundant  this year, our deep freezer is already filling up. That is a wonderful thing. This will enable us to reduce our grocery costs even further. We know our path is blessed. We thank God for our plentiful crops, love, understanding, patience and growth. We look forward to our next 6 months with joy and happiness.
